Missing the path
During development, one of the challenges we solved was managing navigation for multiple users moving through the same enclosed space. Instead of overwhelming the floor with dozens of individual LED paths, the system intelligently merges routes by guiding users along shared segments before branching them off again near their destinations. For example, a path may instruct someone to follow red, then yellow, then red again, while another user might follow blue, then yellow, then blue. This creates natural flow corridors where groups move together in the same direction, ensuring the floor remains clear, organized, and easy to follow even in crowded environments.

Flome

LED navigation system for enclosed environments such as malls, airports, or hospitals.

The Problem

Navigating large enclosed areas—such as malls, airports, hospitals, or exhibition halls can be confusing and time-consuming. Static signs and maps are often overwhelming, inaccessible, or outdated, leaving visitors frustrated and disoriented.

Flome is a floor-integrated navigation system that uses dynamic LED pathways to guide users along personalized routes. By interacting through a smartphone or a public kiosk equipped with a digital map and an AI assistant, users can simply type or speak their destination. The AI interprets the request, suggests optimal routes (including multi-stop journeys), and projects a clear, illuminated path directly onto the floor, making navigation intuitive, inclusive, and seamless.

The Solution

The Flome app is an interactive navigation interface that combines a 3D map with an AI-powered chat assistant. Users can speak or type their requests, and the app generates a personalized route. Each route is assigned a unique color, which is then projected onto the floor through the integrated LED system. Users simply follow their designated color on the floor to reach their destinations.
